Setting up your online store
Go from zero to live storefront in 30 minutes — pick a theme, configure shipping and tax, connect Stripe, and you're selling.
The Mewayz Store module is a full ecommerce platform — products, cart, checkout, orders, shipping, taxes — built into your existing workspace. No separate Shopify subscription needed.
Initial setup checklist
- Open Store → Get started. Mewayz walks you through the essentials.
- Set your store name and URL (e.g. yourshop.mewayz.com — custom domains via Settings → Domains).
- Pick a theme. All themes are mobile-first and fully customisable.
- Set your currency and base country (drives default tax + shipping rules).
- Configure shipping zones — by country or postal-code range, with per-zone rates.
- Connect Stripe (Settings → Payments) so customers can actually pay.
- Add at least 3 products (see Adding products) so the storefront looks real.
- Click Launch — your store is live.
Tax handling
Mewayz Store calculates tax automatically based on customer location and the rates you've configured. For US merchants, integrate with TaxJar for automatic state-level rates; EU merchants get VAT MOSS support built in.
Test mode is on by default — orders don't trigger real Stripe charges. Toggle Live mode on once you've placed a test order successfully.
