Sending appointment reminders
Cut no-shows by 60-80% with automated email and SMS reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before each appointment.
No-shows kill the maths of a service business. Reminders are the cheapest fix — published studies put email reminders at ~30% no-show reduction and SMS at 60-80%. Mewayz turns both on with two clicks.
Enable reminders
- Open Bookings → Settings → Reminders.
- Toggle Email reminder on. Default schedule: 24h before. Customise to any interval.
- Toggle SMS reminder on (Starter+ plans). Requires a SMS-credit pack — buy at Settings → Credits.
- Pick a second reminder time (e.g. 1h before).
- Customise the message — keep it short ('Hi {{name}}, your appointment with us is at {{time}} today. Reply C to cancel.').
- Save. New bookings automatically get reminders; existing future bookings inherit the schedule.
Self-service cancellation
Reminders include a Reschedule / Cancel link. Clients who can't make it cancel themselves — your calendar opens up for someone else, and you don't sit waiting.
SMS uses credits (~$0.02/message in the US, varies by country). Heavy senders should bulk-buy credits for a discount.
