Setting up performance reviews
Run structured quarterly or annual performance reviews with goals, self-assessments, 360 feedback, and manager ratings — all in one place.
Most small companies don't do reviews because the overhead is too much. The Performance module is opinionated and lightweight — a simple template you can run quarterly without it eating a week.
Create a review cycle
- Open HR → Performance → New cycle.
- Name it (e.g. 'Q2 2026 review').
- Pick which employees are included — by department, role, or individually.
- Choose the template — Goal-based, Competency-based, 360, or your own custom template.
- Set the timeline: self-assessment window, manager review window, calibration meeting.
- Launch. Employees and managers get email notifications with deadlines.
What the review captures
- Goals set last cycle + how each scored.
- Self-assessment by the employee.
- Manager rating and qualitative feedback.
- Optional peer / 360 feedback (anonymised if you choose).
- Goals for next cycle, agreed in the calibration meeting.
Use ratings to feed promotions and pay-band changes. Reports show distribution per department — useful for spotting grade inflation or harsh-manager outliers.
